Mothersong
Come and sing with us on Friday mornings 10-11.00am at Barton Park Primary School. These sessions are open to women of all ages and stages. Babies and toddlers welcome.
In Mothersong we gather as mothers, grandmothers, aunties, friends and sisters to improve wellbeing through singing. We sing to build community, boost our mood and bond with our kids. Research shows the remarkable benefits that group singing has on both physical and mental health.
We sing Folk and Pop Songs from around the world. We like to keep things simple and sing by ear with lots of repetition - so there’s no need for sheet music or backing tracks.
This group is for you whether you have sung before or not. The sessions are tailored for all, from new to accomplished singers. We focus on involvement rather than achieving a perfect sound and it is definitely not about performance! Come as you are.

All sessions are lead by songwriter and musician Hannah Fredsgaard-Jones. Hannah has years of experience leading creative music workshops in the community. She is currently training as a Singing Mamas Community Leader specialising in Perinatal Singing Practices.

Mothersong is delivered in partnership with St. Mary's Church Barton and supported by the Well Together Programme.
